Havent played UO for a while and am looking for a standard pvp template for a fencing warrior. Going to play it at the siege perilous server so it will have mining with it.

So i tought:

95 Mining (will try to get +5 gloves somewhere) My moneymaker
120 Fencing
100 parrying
100 healing
100 magic resist
100 tactics
100 focus

Just a raw template. Anyone has tips?

Blah :( cant edit the title. Now it says nothing specific.

Seige is a rough place due to the constant pve nature. You don't have any glaring holes but your not really optimized for pvp either. Its not a bad temp and should cover you some. I wouldn't expect it to do much more then buy you time to get away from a true pvp temp. Is that what your looking for? If your truly going for pvp then drop the mining and add nox and you should be ready to go. Focus may not be necessary I would probably add in chiv to give you the ability to sacred journey and heal and handle curses. Its more of an older style temp then a newer one. You might want to consider instead of trying to fight them off (which is unlikely) instead going for stealth dropping anatomy dropping focus for hiding and trying to throw in ninja instead of healing. That way you can rabbit when confronted. Of course your still in a rough spot in many ways. I guess it really depends on whether your looking to fight with this temp or just survive.

A couple thoughts on your proposed template. First, healing is not effective without anatomy. Second, I think you will find 100 resist is not enough for PvP. It will work for PvM, but dedicated PvP mages will run 120 magery which will slice through your 100 resist. Third, though I typically like Chivalry, you cannot use Sacred Journey on Siege so keep that in mind. You will need to get around the old fashioned way, use portals/moongates, or have a second char that can gate. And finally, 100 focus alone is not worthwhile. If you think you need a way to regen mana, either go 100 meditation (which is far more effective than focus) or stack your suit with Mana Regeneration. You can get MR 4 rings and bracelets in Shame now so I would just pack your suit with MR. Then that frees up room for either anatomy, chivalry, or another skill (like bushido or niinjitsu).

I think my biggest concern has to do with your purpose. You have a mutli-purpose character. I think you will find that you will not be as effective as every pure PvP setup out there... which is what most everyone that PvPs will be running. Mining is a decent way to raise money on Siege, but I wonder if you've crippled your PvP by adding mining.

Just things to consider.

Hmmmzzz it gave me some new toughts...
Well at first ill just try and make some money. After that ill think further ahead.
Maybe ill have to try and get a soulstone somwhere to get rid of the 95 mining when i need to.

If you settle for some sort of dexxer build that can both pvp and pvm its no problem to make some money while training skills. On siege you need much less gold than on prodo, and gold from monsters is exactly the same.
Powerscrolls are insanly cheap here, and there is not much need for expensive artifacts.
Also remember that on siege a lot of looted resources can be sold for good gold because of triple vendor prices. Especially small gems for imbuing can give you a nice additional income because of the insane npc prices. There is also always demand for reagents , bandages , cloth, leather and imbuing ingredients.
By the time you have finished training a 120 weapon skill, you should have a mil or 2 spare money.
Landmass is huge and pk's are only a few. There are a lot of unusual training places where you can make a good amount of gold at the same time.
Just dont make the mistake to tell people where you are and dont farm the same spot for hours and days.
With your original template you will not kill anyone except crafters or new chars while at the same time mystics and poisoners will shred you.

A good idea here is to train imbuing from the beginning. Quite a few shops sell unimbued armor and weapons and you dont need anything else to replace lost equipment.

Something like
120 weapon
100 tactics
100 anat
100 healing
100 resist
100 bushido or ninjitsu

can pvm quite good and has defence as well. Work your way to 6x120 and you have something simple you can pvp with and go nearly everywhere for pvm.

Whats better ninjitsu or bushido? Planning to go pvp and pvm.

And i think ill ditch the mining and just loot my way up.

Parry isnt needed btw?

Bushido may be a bit better for a start. In that case , it may make sense to take some points from tactics anat and healing and add 60+ parry if you are going to use a melee skill. Also better for pvm as you dont need slayer weapons to do decent damage and good for champ spawns if you find a decent guild.

The ninjitsu variant is basically very defensive, but still good if you pick up throwing or archery.
But most people on siege have tons of soulstones, especially the pvp crowd. It gets a bit boring to play only one char per account with a fixed skillset.
Settle for something you like to play for the start.
Those 6x120 templates make it easier to replace skills, otherwise you may need even more soulstones for the same skills at different levels, especially for optimized pvp templates.
