Good place for beginner farming

Hey Gang. I'm just curious where are some places for beginners to farm gear, gold, and such and possibly where to go from there. So far I've been in Despise and Shame and they seem to do pretty decent but I think it's coming to the time where I may be ready to test the waters somewhere else.

Also could you guys give any tips on how to deal with magic users? I'm mainly a solo player and do pretty well against melee mobs or non-magic users, seems I get owned my magic users whenever I find one though.

Thanks for your help.

Next step is the Cyc. Warriors then. You can do those in Despise or take on the paragon ones that can spawn in Honesty.

Magic users were my bane as well, I always got owned by orc mages and those damn lichs, I heard that cackle in my nightmares.

You best and really only bet is to hit them dead on and fast. Make sure you are useing a slayer weapon and take them out as fast as possible and the 1st target of the mob. Magic Resist is always a bonus, but make sure you have high Energy and Fire resists, Cold is nice as well. If you post your template we can give you more feedback as for farming and gold making.

Welcome!

These are the skills I have right now. I generally like to play strong fighter types with some magic abilities:

Str 80, Dex 64, Int 86 (Although I'm thinking of bringing Dex down and boosting Str some)

Anatomy 85.1
Focus 100
Healing 63.4
Swordsmanship 84
Tactics 82.8
Evaluate Intelligence 72.5
Magery 70.4
Resisting Spells 40.1
Meditation 89.2
Hiding 12.5

I'm currently bringing my hiding down while trying to get swords and tactics to 90 for the secondary abilities on weapons. Any help or tips is greatly appreciated :)

Rework Template first its VERY VERY Busy

Str 80, Dex 64, Int 86 (Although I'm thinking of bringing Dex down and boosting Str some)

Anatomy 85.1
Focus 100
Healing 63.4
Swordsmanship 84
Tactics 82.8
Evaluate Intelligence 72.5
Magery 70.4
Resisting Spells 40.1
Meditation 89.2
Hiding 12.5

First off i would decide which type of char you like to play Warrior or Mage
FOr a casual lone hunter I would work on a Warrior (sampire/whammie)

There are may templates under those two skill.
Whammie
Swords 120
Parry 120
Bushido 120
Tact 110
Necro 88
Chiv 62
SS 100
Now if you just want to stick with straight up warrior with your current temp;
Swords 120
Focus 110
Anat 110
Tact 110
Chiv 80
Healing 100
This leaves you with 80 skill point to play around with possibly resist spells

Look like you are on a good start working the skill the tried and true way

But please drop me a line either here PM me. I will be more thanhappy tohelo you out.

If you like using magic spells, get rid of healing/anatomy and use magery for healing. Make sure your armor is medable too.
