Good Ninja/Paladin template?

I love the idea of a rather conflicted character class, heh. :) So I'm building a ninja with Chivalry. Thing is, I really do want Hiding and Stealth on the character, which is leaving me with some serious questions about whether I can make a decent fighter on only three remaining skills. What would you folks suggest? Weapon, tactics, anatomy? Weapon, focus, parry? Fishing, arms lore, taste identifaction? ;)

Inquiring minds want to know! And thanks in advance for any info from your own experiences. :)

I'm trying it too.
Fencing, tact, ninjitsu, stealth, hiding, chiv, and tracking(what the heck -later put poisoning).
I doubt the effectiveness of it, but I wanna see how he does.

*tickles T'Amon until coffee comes out his nose*

Unless somebody says otherwise, I guess I'll add on fencing (I made a sweeeeet kryss the other night), tactics, and parry. :)

Good luck, Hildebrand; I guess we'll find out together whether this is a good idea! :stretcher:

Holy smokes wolfman. That is a ton of extra skill points. Im interested in hearing what outfit you have on to get that.

Are you sacraficing alot of resists, HCI and DCI to get those skill points?

Well there are other things to consider when building your temp. First off are you PvM or PvP? If you're PvP then you don't need chiv at all unless you want it to get around or remove curse outside of battle. If you do PvM then chivalry is really strong with battling support spells for damage. None of these can be used in forms with ninja either nor can you use specials moves in form. Things like deathstrike are more for PvP in which case you're gonna be stealthing in, hitting with deathstrike and getting kills or you're using smoke bombs and stealthing away. Chiv really doesn't have a place in that environment.

Therefore my suggestion is basically this. The 2 don't work well together in any real scenario. Stealth/Hide/Ninja is a perfectly fine temp for PvP but not so much for PvM. Swords/Chiv/Parry is a fine temp that can be used for either. Just know your goals and prepare for them ahead of time.

Um, remove curse, holy light spam, concrete weapon, 4/6 heals? What do you mean Chiv has no place in a pvp environment? Or am I just reading that wrong...

Ok lets see you try to get 4/6 casting on a stealther temp thats able to kill someone (and survive with DCI) and I'll more than agree with you. But generally if you're ending up on defense on a stealth temp then you're better off getting away and coming back later. Stealth temps don't do well in a heads up melee battle because you have skill points allocated to your sneak attack and safe getaways. If you need to get rid of a fast curse or corpse skin then take apples.

All right, let's make the assumption that I am 100% PvM, and avoid PvP like the proverbial plague. Let's also make the assumption that I like the heal, recall, cure, and attack benefits of Chivalry. And finally, let's assume that I don't have access to godlike equipment that gives me boodles of extra skill points. WITH THAT SAID, which other skills should I take in addition to Chivalry, Ninja, Hiding, Stealth, and a weapon?

Thanks, all!

If you can fit tactics, anatomy, and healing on there then I'd prolly go with those.

As we speak I am starting a Ninja with a the same concepts in mind. My current aim is the following:

120 Fencing
90 Tactics
100 Ninjitsu
100 Hide
80 Stealth
85 Anatomy
85 Healing
60 Chivalry
720 Total

It is a cramped template... Just enough tactics to use all weapon special abilities, enough stealth for 100% success with a medable suit, enough anatomy + healing to res and enough chivalry to get high success rate on spells (concentrate weapon, journey, etc).

I'm sure it's going to be a **** poor build for PvM and will probably end up with a completely different template (parry and bushido come to mind instead of anatomy and healing). Anyway, I have yet to get a good response on a stable Ninja PvM build, so the best way to find out is probably just running with it and learning as you go. In the end, dropping nearly 200 points into Hiding & Stealth really hurts for a PvM template... If you have your heart set on being 'uber' or even 'useful' you might consider a bushido/chivalry build without the sneaky factor.

Best of luck!
