*walks up to the tavern and detects the scent of singed wood and blackrock residue*

Well...it is good to know that Va'lis is about and now I feel even luckier the tavern still stands.

*makes his way to the counter and sets out an assortment of pastries along with putting on the hot water and coffee*

Well I have added a touch of cinnamon to the coffee today but I have a pot of straight black for the purist types as well. Among the pastries I have some fresh apple fritters that came out of the oven this morning. When I do eat donuts, which isn't often, that is my favorite. Now for hot food we have blueberry pancakes and chocolate chip pancakes. I can also make straight buttermilk as well. The maple syrup is fresh from the forests of felucca, I did check to ensure no poisons or worse...blood.

*wanders in and finds a seat at the bar*
Good day for a hot cup of tea I believe. It's a mite chilly out there today. I hope you don't mind, but I brought a tray of "special" waffles for everyone to enjoy.

*sets out a tray of Space-Age Out-of-This-World Moon Waffles*

*sets down a cup of tea in front of him*

Wow! Those are some waffles you've got there. It is a good thing to differentiate though considering Eggo waffles are in short supply.

I thought some of the more adventurous among us might enjoy them. Personally I won't touch the things, Not really a fan of caramel.

*enters tavern*

Good morning! *lays several gold coins on the counter*

Two of everything, please. To go. The daughter is setting sail today in her new boat and I'm going along with her.

*nods to the meer and hands him his coffee*

Good day to you, late night/early morning again?

*heads to the back ice box and pulls out a slice of blackberry pie, at least he thinks its blackberry pie, it could be blackrock pie, sets it before the meer*

We do have a few adventurous sorts, they may just go over well, anything I can get you instead?

*puts all of the items in a to-go bag and hands it to Llwyd*

Here you are sir, a boat ride, how nice! A little too cool out there for me though.

*takes bag and tucks it under robe* Thank you.

Aye, it's a a bit cool outside, but I haven't been sailing since her mother.... well, it's been a long time. Hopefully we won't run into any krakens. In any case, I wish you all a fine day.

* ponders quietly about humans, wisdom, age and why they would expose themselves to the same drama for a second time... specially when it involves water... *

* drinks some coffee quietly and sniffs the caramel... *

Hum, yeah... I don't give much credit to Fate. All is planned and executed.
That trip sounds like a sure way to double his pain...

Then again, maybe he is facing his fears and tutoring his daugther on the same subject...

*checks out the tavern door for a dust cloud that hasn't yet reached the tavern*

Hmm....something is amiss, are we going to all let our guard down and then jump out of our skin from a big !BOOM!?

* grabs the bottle of rum... tightly *
