I know I haven't been around much this last year, so this may be over due already.
However it is not without much consideration,that I have decided to close both of my Ultima Online accounts. I do not have the words that would do justice to my opinion of what UO can come to mean for us, its is not just a timeless, original, delightful game, but it is a place where we join a community, and make friends which transcend the game itself. My many years on legends ( the only UO shard I ever desired to play on ) was well spent. When I first played ultima as a young teen on my first account I admired the players who made up the community, and longed to be one of them as I watched them run to and fro greeting each other by name as one would expect to see in a small tight nit town. Years later when I active my Urza account I had the goal to become one of those players who provided for, and made up that sense of community. I feel that I managed this in some small ways, working in, and later running the CIGO casino, spending countless hours with new players showing them around the lands of sosaria while passing along advice derived from my experiences.
I also had the honor of designing the Luna fairgrounds. I knew the day I seen my frog statue there that I had accomplished what I had set out to do ( to leave my small mark on the game ) and that when this day came It would make it much easier.
I want to thank each and every one of you friends, and adversary alike. You made the game worth playing, it would have been dull, and pointless without YOU.
I will of course check in from time to time here on these message boards, but now I have set some goals for my new love Bonsai. To win a "best in show" award for one of my plants at a bonsai exhibition. This goal will I expect to take me much much longer then accomplish. Maybe in ten or twenty years I can post here that I succeeded.
Legends will forever have a place in my heart, the time I spent here, the friends I made likewise. Thank you for so much, and god bless.
