Golem training and poison weapons

Hello,

I am trying to train fencing and archery with 100% posion weapons and a golem. I am guilded, take golem out and with the fencing weapon I get great gains ( and quite strangley the fence weap doesnt seem to deteriorate). Also the fencing weapon doesnt do damage to teh golem.

Then i try archery and with the 100% heavy xbow i have (the bow has no other attributes) I can hit the golem 3 to 4 times and its nearl dead and no gains.

Any idea what i am doing wrong with archery?

Are you wearing a quiver of rage or quiver of the elements? These modify the types of damage you do.

Also, does your x-bow have a hit spell on it?
