125-150 items is too small for a modern players bankbox. We all have the regular bank box(for free as always), then add the option to buy more storage. Say the base SDB can store 100 items and cost 5k/wk and go all the way upto 1-5k items at an ever increasing rate.

They'd never go for it. It'd take revenue away from the "Storage Upgrade" code thingy you purchase for real money. EA's problem is not enough cash, not too much gold.

I bought the code and would like more
. It would certainly be a good thing for my artificer and my crafting characters. I am pretty much always at 150 on both characters and i like to do my crafting in public areas so that i can mingle with people so i like to keep most things in my characters bank box. I would over 250 open spots in my bank box hehe.

... and lets not forget the increase in lag we'd encounter because off all the extra stuff people are carting around with them all the time. Remember every character carries around their bankbox and everything in it at all times, we just can't see it. Everyone carrying around that much stuff would create a ton of extra lag.
Not sure how much more lag there could be, Compared to, Lets say Luna with all the vendors.

Yeah, but imagine Luna grade lag while hunting in Ilsh because a group of 5 people each with bank boxes stuffed to the gills with 500 items each doing a hunt nearby.

More storage in a player's bank box would create a lot more lag. However, a guild safe deposit box would be great. Maybe one with different amounts of storage, so that a small guild might buy 10 slots of storage for 1k gold, 100 slots for 1 million gold, 250 slots for 10 million gold, 500 slots for 25 million gold, 1,000 slots for 100 million gold, and 10,000 slots for 1 billion gold.
As long as they paid the gold, it wouldn't matter whether the guild had 1 member or 10,000. It wouldn't be linked to the player, so there wouldn't be any lag.
Another option would be to rent the safe deposit box. That way, players who just need the room to put all 3,000 of their items in storage for a couple of hours while they re-size their house, or after the house where they had 10 vendors is sold, and the new owner doesn't renew their rental contracts, will have some cheap temporary storage, and people who need massive amounts of storage for longer amounts of time will pay a lot. Maybe charge 1 million gold for 24 hours of storage for up to 10,000 items; most people wouldn't need nearly that much storage, but somebody who had just sold their castle, keep or vendor house would.
