I had to page a GM because I stupidly dropped my corroded box on the floor of my house... and yeah... a GM had to pry it loose.

Anyway... after... I received a message screen from the GM requesting feedback on performance... etc. I've paged many times over the years for various reasons... and this is the first time I've had a GM be friendly... courteous... even asked if there was anything else I needed.

Then I get the message... it took me to an EA site where you could complain or compliment. Said something about wanting to better serve their customers.

Has anyone else gotten this?

That's been going on for years now... I haven't seen one in a while though.

It's a customer service ploy. They will ask u to do the survey when they know they did an acceptable job. This way the look better as a gm and ea can say that everyone that did a survey was happy so they must have the best cs. They rarely want your survey when they give u a canned message. Just my thoughts.

I did customer service in college and it was the tactic they had us use. Get the angry people out of the way as fast as you can. And then when you get a nice person you can help you send them to the survey. So now when I deal with companies outside of UO I always ask to do the survey even if I was so angry or they didn't fix anything. And of course 90% of the time I get hung up on. (If you call back they say they lost you in transfer lol what a joke)

If that seems to be common practice, then the people who collect the data must know that right? I'm sure they do, but then they try to pass off the made-up (for the most part) numbers off as how great the company is.

Time warner cable is rated for good customer service, yet almost everyone who has them says it's horrible, hrrrm. I wonder how that came to be ;)

i understood that once the box has locked itself down, you can simply use an interior decorator tool to turn it, then it can be picked up?
nice and late i know but i thought this was the case

I didn't know about the deco tool... hmm.. wonder if that would have worked? Anyone else ever try that?

Also... it just so happens that I bookmarked the link the GM sent me to... sooo... if someone would clarify rule wise... I'll post it here and then you don't have to wait for the GM to send it to you. :) I'm just not clear on what links can be posted and what links can not.

Oh wonderful, fabulous MOD? Can I post the link to the GM complaint, compliment site? It's part of EA... and can only be used in conjunction with a specific GM name, date and time of request for help, and you have to include your account name, character name, shard... etc.

Then anyone who has something to say to EA about whatever happened... can do so without waiting for an invite from a GM? I had never been given this option before... sooo... I think the UO community would benefit from having a place to report to.
