would it be very difficult for EA to implement some kind of automatic gm thing that basically just wanders each subserver looking for people doing the same things over and over and over (like in a script), then just automatically ask for a reply like the live GMs do?, move on if they get a reply or call a real gm if they don't?
doesn't seem like too difficult a task and it would accomplish a lot of what people complain about.

It would have to be able to read automatic recalls, depending on how those work. I know most of those scripts have an auto-retreat feature if anyone speaks near them.

GMs have a special GM chat function that works like guildchat, they put you in it if they think you're scripting.

Big problem with that.... 90% of what you do in UO is repetitive. snf god help you if you move youre eyes from the screen at the exact same moment you get talked to in the middle of a KR macro.

Recall 5 times- rail 6 times sacred journey 3 times recall 4 times rail 9 times lol
well the only thing that will catch is every other player in uo except the scripters who semi randomized the script.

Also keep in mind that scripts can talk, albiet not very intelligently. Intelligent enough to fool a bot GM though. Probably.

Some of the major scripters hire people specifically to answer GM challenges, though, and against these major outfits your proposed change would have no effect.
