Globe of Sosaria problem

I placed a globe of sosaria and now I want to re-deed it. I tried using an axe on it but got a message "use that to carve meat......". How do I get it back into deed form?

You're doing the right thing with an axe, but you have to target just the right part. Not sure I can remember where that is tbh, but it might be front left corner?

It's the top (north/west) corner. These globes have a very small area to target.
