Freedom means freedom. Any restriction by the government is unconstitutional.
I disagree, but others have already called you on this and rightfully so. I feel confident that the founding fathers of the United States would agree that you are incorrect. I would add that restriction/retribution from your peers, society, your place of employment or a social group/community you belong to is not unconstitutional.

Like it or not, there are rules and we all have to play by them or suffer the consequences... even if they do not come directly from our goverenment. (the rules or the consequences)

None of you actually read what I said when replying to me.

You need to read the constitution if you truly think that's what it says. Freedom of speech can't infringe on another's right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Using racial slurs and extensive vulgarities do just that.
Declaration of Independence != Constitution.
I believe he told you to read the constitution, despite what you said above they are equal, due to the fact that they hold the same ideals and the Declaration is the basis for the constitution.

Woo Hoo - Someone who understands free speech! Free Speech does not mean a Free for All - there are still rules/guidelines.

For everyone who failed to mention this, Freedom of speech does not exactly mean freedom to use words, it is the freedom to express ones opinions, and ideals. So no one is trying to restrict your freedom to tell others your ideas. They will and can however limit the use of certain words, actually it is not the use of some words but rather the tone of such words, and their particular usage, THIS is not protected by any part of the constitution, declaration, or any other Freedom giving article.

You're right, they're from 2 separate documents. That doesn't mean that one doesn't protect the rights of the other.

Taken directly from the original Constitution of the US-

WE, the PEOPLE of the UNITED
STATES, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, ensure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Yep. Pretty much the same thing.

Nice try, but no cigar for you.:sad2:

The declaration was a statement and justification of seperation. The constitution was a set of laws drafted 10 or so years later.

What have we learned today class?

Typical new-age, new-interpretation bull****.

The government does not have the constitutional right to limit speech. Period.
