Well, I feel like the luckiest player in the world... which you just might think I am. As I was wandering around tonight, I just happened to be walking past our Great Lakes burning duper's plot at the right time. I saw the flames slowly extinguishing. I decided then and there... hey, I should stick around a bit. I'd already paced of the plot long ago, and have really been watching for this since the announcement. And sure enough, the rocks and chairs and other debris started vanishing, too. Now, I was unaware at exactly what point the plot might 'allow' placement, so a few times during these deletions I attempted placing, hoping everything would move over under the house sign. But no go. After maybe 5 minutes all the debris was removed, save the scarecrow. I'd tried placing a few more times, just in case the plot became available at some weird time. I wasn't sure if they'd even remove it all then... or some now... some later. Anyway I started worrying next about the housing tool telling me I'd tried to many times. My hands begun to shake some, my heart was really beating... you'd think I was being chased by a group of PK's. Anyway... once that last piece, the scarecrow was gone... I attempted my largest available size for the plot and still got a No Go. But! I said to myself, just get something down there. Anything...
and so I tried a little 7x7.... and got lucky

Yes yes... thank you thank you.
But now... how dangerous is resizing this plot? No other homes can fit on either side, right now, and I doubt the two neighbors will undo all their work to move over a few spots, but maybe they would. I know that when you resize under the house sign the plot is reserved for an hour, but with this real estate I'm hesitant to adjust anything. My questions, I guess, are:
Does the reserved plot fit exactly to whats placed, footprint-wise? meaning while I'm resizing no one would be able to place on the sides.
What can block placement, I'm certain there are numerous stealthers awaiting an opportunity.
You CAN place over people and pets and everything now, right? Right?
Has anyone had any problems with resizing? like losing their spot or something enexpected.
Any and all insights welcome. Thank you.
