School just let out! I know I've been playing Siege for a few months now, but with school and a full time job I haven't had much chance to keep up my RoT gains like I should have.

Anyways, hopefully by the end of the summer you should have one extra player on Siege!

A few quick questions:

1.) Where is the easiest place to gain in Magic Resist on Siege?

2.) What would be a good complimentary skill for Archery?

Yes, I'm still somewhat a n00b in Ultima. I know I shouldn't be playing Siege with no pvp experience, but I love the sound of risk vs. reward.

I assume you can still do this: Get +25 in bushido jewls, find a friendly mage, and have him cast resistable spells on you while you use the bushido ability honorable execution. You should be up to 70 in no time.

What kind of character do you like to play? Necro- or mage-archer hybrids are options. For non-caster archer, you'll want anatomy and healing, tactics, and then it depends...stealth/hide, bushido, ninjitsu, chiv, etc...Do you plan on doing soloing or running in a gank squad?

Nah, don't say that. I came to Siege after only a week on Baja and I'm glad I did. Most people come to Siege after many months or years of playing UO. That's unfortunate imo. It's good you knew about Siege early and chose to play here. As our forum description says: "It's not just for vets anymore. It's also for people who don't want to play a namby-pamby version of UO."

1. get a red mage to soulstone off his Eval, and cast para fields, and you run through them, get you to 70 in about 30 minutes

2. tactics , healing, anatomy, chiv, lot of people run ninja too, Bushido, yup lots of good stuff to choose from.

Masu is right. The honorable execution trick will get you to ROT in resist in 10 minutes or less.

A good pvm archery template is:
120 arch
120 tactics
120 anat
90 heal
80 chiv
120 bush
70 med or magery or necro

A good pvp archery template is
120 arch
90 tactics
90 anat
90 heal
100 hiding
75 stealth
rest in bush/med
