(Question) Getting around on Siege

Does everyone on Siege have magery or is there anybody here that walks from place to place? I have 50 magery on my paladin, but I now have a house that is close to a moongate. I also have a dungeon teleporter too. I'm thinking about dropping magery but I'd hate to get stuck on Fire or Ice island. I play late at night and there are only a few people playing then. Thanks

My dexxer has no magery. It´s fun to sometimes play a char with no magery. I like having to run around.

As for getting stuck on Fire or Ice island. On Fire (if that´s the one with Hythloth on) you can always enter the Underworld, cross the Abyss and come out at the Tomb of Kings in Ter Mur.

And I´m sure Deceit has some teleporters that will take you to a place on the mainland. That is if your char can handle the spawn on the way...

Thanks, I had forgotten about the dungeon teleporters. Soon my char should be able to handle running through dungeons.

not the one where u type in text to a gm but the one help stuck and it comes up with a list of towns for you to teleport to. then wait about 1 min.

I dont use magery on one of my chars. The other I do. Most of the time Im running everywhere with both of them. As for islands, I use my boat and sail away from them. They are handy to have.

One of my dudes doesn't have magery, he just runs around. The vet reward portals are helpful, as are the various public house teleporters around.

Should be noted, and I've had to warn guildmates about this too, is that some items will DROP when you use help stuck, though strangely not all the time. (Mostly just sots and powerscrolls, probably other cursed items). I've had to run back and pick stuff up off the ground before due to help stuck mishaps :D.

Personally, on my dexer I just walk/ride, and on my thief I gate. It helps too knowing people so you can get into house tele networks, saves a lot of time.

I think the rule is that any item that is cursed and NOT equipped falls to the ground when help/stucking out...

Nearly six years with UO and this is my first Stratics reply. Hope it works.

I've played a Bushido Knight on Siege for a good three years now. I haven't played on Siege for over a year now because of slow connection. I'm on the west coast.

But I love Siege and hate to see it losing sooo many interesting players.

I actually enjoy riding around, looking for trouble. Not that Wind, my Bushido Knight is much of a PvP'er. He's died nearly everytime he went up against anyone. hee hee... (Groan?)

Anyway... I've often thought that there could be one addition to the game that would potentially bring back players to Siege.

I believe that we should try to talk the devs into creating a new Chivalry spell. One that basically functions nearly identically to the Magery spell "Gate".

I even have a name for it that I think sounds cool. "Sacred Portal"

It should require something like 60 Chivalry to be used. That would make it difficult to use by any other than very high level Paladins.

What does everyone think about this idea.

BTW: Sorry about the Epic Novel. Get a keyboard in front of me and I go crazy! hee hee...
