Gen chat on EC problem.

For some reason, one of my characters, cannot join the gen chat channel in EC. For CC all is ok. Is there something on the settings that needs to change? or should I just update with full update? The other characters are ok with gen chat in EC, also no problem with guild chat on the above character.

No its a regular paid account.
I think I know what may have happened, the character profile has something wrong with it, since when I rename it, all is well (except of course all macros need to be reprogrammed in the new blank profile). I think its a bugged profile, unless I am missing something as far as settings is concerned.
Since this is the only issue, and gen chat is not absolutely needed, will wait after the event to start a new profile and re-program all the macros in EC.
