Gathering of the Guilds

This is a PLANNING post NOT notice etched in stone!!!

Tennatively we'd like to try to host the annual Gathering of the Guilds in June the 27th and 28th a Saturday and Sunday this year. Typically they've been more midday events like noon to 3 CST or 1 p.m. until like 4 p.m. CST. Trying to avoid dinner plans, nights out etc.

If there is enough interest we'd like to have one day be 2-3 hours of events hosted and sponsored by player run guilds. Perhaps net toss (we at Majestic Oaks are saving nets), a tamer's pet duel, PvP tournament, scavenger hunt, trivia, fish fry or beer tent, t map hunts.. a festival with lots of things for players to try, prizes to win etc.

The second day would be the traditional Gathering inside Empathy Abbey (aka Yew bank) where guilds have information about themselves, some do give aways of gold or prizes, FCB often hosts their fish fry during this event.

This is an annual event where the folks of Great Lakes pop in spend a few hours together get to know each other and have a little fun.

As most of you know Stratics has sponsored and run this event for years with much success. This one will be no different Melian of MOA and some of the other guilds that will organize wanted to run with the ball. Myself and the stratics team will be there to organize setup and as always are welcoming all guilds to participate . I am going to forgo the offer of ther Fel version as there was no support last time but feel free to PM or post if you want us to try .

Thank you Mystra, Stratics has done a great job with this gathering for many years. I just thought maybe I'd save you a little time and allow you more time to screen posts *snickers slightly* Time to share the burden a bit.

Ok folks, a written reply would be great!

Time? 1-4 CST which is 2-5 EST

OR

Noon to 3 CST which is 1-4 EST

Do we have enough interest to host event Saturday and Gathering Sunday?

Same times each day?

(Trivia can be current events, sports, music past and present, cartoons, UO past, present, geography so keep a browser up)

Net Toss (Massive)
Time: 2:15? to 3:30? or 4:30? CST
Location: boat or docks? Which City?
Keep what you loot, possible prize drops amongst spectators

Food Court and Cocktails (Dinner break)
Time: 5 p.m. CST to 6:00 p.m. CST
Location: Majestic Oaks Library in Vesper
(Come by read, chat, eat drink.. volunteers on hand as available to mingle)

Chicken Fight Club
Greater Dragon Tournie
7 p.m. CST
Prizes award based on entries
CFC's normal location
We'll have volunteer staff gating

CFC has committed, question marks are due to tennative nature of the plans.

If anyone else wants to jump in with an event we'll adjust times, I need time and location and description no later than June 12th! I'm givin' ya all another 8 days.

( compromised and split the difference)
All guilds interested please arrive about Noon or 12:15 to set up your booth
Please include: runes to your vendors, guild houses, recruiting information
any give aways or decor (chairs etc)
Please have volunteers showing guild tags.
NOW rumor has it Orcs roam about the farm fields etc now and then so beware of unstabling pets and keep on your toes.

Dinner Break Majestic Oaks Library, just through the portal near the auction house right outside Vesper from end of net toss until 6 p.m. CST
