Gargoyle that cant fly

yup! as the heading says.... I have a gargoyle thats had its wings clipped since birth... will not fly
(its was previously an elf and i used the token to change it to a gargoyle)

Devs ??

I paged a GM, they were as stumped as i was

Some help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Ovrkill, I really hate to tell you this, but one of the books I received tonight as part of a reward from doing one of the quests is called, "The Book of Family."

It isn't very long, so I'll copy it here for you.

I do not know if this book is about gargoyles or some other creature (dragons and their cousins?).

In the classic Ultima games (starting with VI, since that was the first one to really delve into Gargish lore), Gargoyle society was split into two caste groups, Winged and Non-Winged Gargoyles.

The Winged Gargoyles were the intellectuals and the leaders. They made laws and basically ran everything. The Non-Winged Gargoyles were the work-horses of the society. They were viewed as lacking the intelligence of their Winged brethren and were relegated to manual labor and errand running.

OP: I hope for your sake it's a bug or an oversight.

Did you click on the "new" book in your paperdoll and find the ability labeled "flying"?

You have to pull it out and dbl click it to fly.

NO Ovrkill as stated in my reply I did the EXACT same thing. I even told my guild, "And how did I get the only non-flying gargoyle??!?!?!??!?!" They are the ones who taught me "the trick". Have fun flying around!

I created a new char, a Gargoyle. The first thing I did was to dump the "junk" in my backpack, including I suppose the book you are referring to.
So now, how do I get this "book" that will let me fly?
