the lack of replies is people silently telling you to read some threads first LMAO. there was a guy asking this same question a couple days ago.

ok enough ball busting ;)

i've seen discording sampires before but i never really felt they worked all that great given they were melee based and gave up offense and defense while being beaten on by beasties. the ranged discorder is interesting because anything given up in defense may not matter all that much as the monster shouldn't be able to get near you to hurt you, so you really only need to worry about spells and effects like the slasher rockfall. i like it. hell i might even steal it.

now to answer your question, you need 45 SSI + 180 sta to swing the soul glaive at 1.5sec.

the problem with gargoyles loading up with skill jewelry is they do not get all the nice arties like human/elf do, where they can "offload" things from jewels like DCI (Fey Legs, AOF, Heart of Lion, etc), HCI (bane legs), +skill (Captain Johns, Hunters Headdress, etc) to various armor parts. Humans can run crazy +skill intensive templates (at the expense of their sta), but not gargs.. not as good.

think about how your jewels are gonna look, you already have two skills at +15 on each, so now you got room for 3 mods left... HCI *2 for sure, maybe DCI or DI... but you aren't getting full strength on all that. then you miss out on +str/dex, EP, SSI, and much more....

altered mace and shield is the best for the garg thrower but you may need to offload DCI and go with folded steel glasses. similarily your weapons can have 25 DCI but generally you will want 30 SSI, Hit Mana Leech, and a slayer at a minimum.

so, you are gonna have to juggle around a lot of items and skills to make things fit if you keep those jewels that way. going down to 100 tactics and 70 chivalry will let you NOT have to put two of those +15's on your jewels, and will not really make much of an impact in your damage or playability. i would start there.

Yeah, +skill on jewelry is 140% intensity, so when you take the first two slots up for skills you are only leaving 220 points of intensity for the final (up to 3) imbues. Strength and Dex are each 110% intensity, HCI is 130%, and DCI is 110%...so you'll have to think about which property you want to go without. However, you can put HCI on your throwing weapons as well. You may also want DI on jewels (100% intensity) as your suit won't be woodland...so I'm not sure what, if any, pieces of armor you can use that have that.

I think I asked this in another one of the thrower threads, but don't recall an answer. What's the real gain to a thrower by using disco? If you are 40 necro I'm assuming you are going into wraith form, so you're planning to chain AI when possible, right?
