First of all, I love UO with a passion. It's the longest game I have ever played (7 years) and the only game I have quit and returned to (I quit for one year and came back. I didn't count that year [otherwise if would have been my 8th year]). But, I want to play a third game on the side that I'd really enjoy. (my second one is Halo 3 [ODST went by too fast...waiting for Reach]).Everyone tends to search for a game that best fits their own style and that style often changes; which is sorta where I am at, I guess.
(Note the following are things that may be part of my interest but does NOT need to include all features).

I do have interest in Assassins, much like Assassin's Creed.

I prefer MMO games, however, any games will do, as seen with Creed's or Oblivion's/Fallout's single player and Halo 3's multiplayer features.

Pirates are good only if their can be functional ship battles, cannon use, wind direction (hinder/help sailing; possibly cannot sail against the wind only zip-line strategy), Treasure Hunting, Trading & Piracy (like in Silkroad trade routes), Marketing, Black Market. Anything with Pirates should have enforcers to confiscate goods or Bounty Hunters to hunt thieves down.

Games like Stronghold or Age of Empires are cool too. However, I'd like them to be more multiplayer (or MMO) without too many "kingdoms" and lag. For instance, 1000 clan/guilds and each with their own guild village or town. That would be ridiculous. I had thought that Faction Wars, like UO, would do nicely (capture a town/village and guard it) but its not quite what I'm looking for. Its pretty hard to explain exactly what I'm looking for in something like this but throw some ideal games out there...it may come to my interest.

A Mafia Game can do nicely as well. i really haven't tried Godfather II out yet but that its only good feature was the Command mode (Multipalyer as Commander sounds really interesting). In a Mafia game, I'd like economy fluctuation, "Ocean's 11/12/13" or "Italian Job-styled" robberies (The movies), gambling (such as illegal race bets, casinoes, battle wages). Something I thought about inspired by Godfather II was Don vs. Don stuff. You control your whole Mafia and lets say its Multiplayer and have like 5 other Dons to overtake and battle, etc.

Yea, you can see I go for a more "Rogue"-styled gameplay. The Assassins, Pirates, Mafia, thieves.

Lastly, lets not let this thread be all about me and what I'm after in a game. If you have a preference style in gameplay and want to find some results (or just list what your ideal game is) then please....your invited to do so.

Thanks Guys and Sorry for the long post.

I'm not an elitist type gamer and never really considered warcraft until I tried it, but I like playing a rogue. It is nice for both PvP and PvM encounter. Vanish is a nice trick to get a lot of monsters off of you instantly by disappearing.

You have select like features like that where you can setup an encounter on your terms.

As far as what you are asking though, I don't really know. UO was about as close as it comes to all of those things.

Personally, I liked the getaway games for their story lines and "mafia" type of setup. Not to mention they are made by a British developer. It's quite interesting driving around in a computerized rendition of London if you ask me.
