Gambreaker.tv : ArenaNet's Guild Wars 2 Could Launch In May

Gambreaker.tv is taking a guess when ArenaNet will release Guild Wars 2. Jason Winter did some research from other MMO's betas and releases so he came up with May.


Great watch again Gamebreaker.tv and gets that blood a pumping for all the anxious GW2 players out there. We will see but we all know ArenaNet will say, "when it's ready."


Guild wars 2 Stratics want to thank GameBreaker.tv for having this up for all us eager fans to drool and only hope.

If you’re like us, you’re on the edge of your seat waiting for ArenaNet to announce a launch date for Guild Wars 2. While we won’t hear the official word until “until it’s ready,” a look at recent MMO beta-to-launch cycles might lend us some clues.

Consider the following dates for the most widely known “semi-public” or press-invite betas for these MMOs:

First RIFT beta: December 2010
Launch: March 2011

First Star Wars: The Old Republic beta: September 2011
Launch: December 2011

First TERA beta: February 2012
Launch: May 2012

That’s a three-month delay from beta to launch for each title. Therefore, with the first widely known Guild Wars 2 beta occurring this last weekend, it could be that May — three months from now — would be a fitting target for launch. If nothing else, we know it won’t be June 28.
