I am having the worst time gaining tactics...heres the deal....116.6 fencing....62.8 tactics....I have been bashing everything in site and very few gains at all.....have killed Ettins, Mummys, Skeles, Zombies, Earth Elementals.....what do I need too do? I have heard that it gains better when at around same wep skill level so I tried this theory....wrong...gained 3 points in wep skill not .1 in tactics...any input appreciated. Open for any ideas (legal of course). Thanks in advance!

Gaining Tactics.....

a couple of things:
First make sure you aren't skill capped.
Second, make sure that the weapon skill of whatever you're fighting is within 20 points of your tactics. Which means that you should gain tactics on lizardmen, ettin, trolls, orcs, etc at this point. When you get to 80 tactics, then you can beat on anything big.

This is the same advice I'd give. Head to Despise, start on the first level, then work your way down as you gain each full 10.0 points. Once you get to 90, head to the second "room" in the Yamotsu Mines where 2 Warrior spawn and they will take you to 120 in no time.

I would just put on some tactics jewels and golem/ogre lord it.
Can you 120 off a golem if its wrestle is high enough???

I've 120 off trogs and I get gold and healing people as well. It's a good place to practice bushido as well if you have a high mana leech weapon.
I think it's better to play the game personally , but If you can gain off golems at a pace fast enough to satisfy you... Then kool. The last few times I tried it , I got boored and ended up killing the golem.
I normally start killing the Gamans at around 70 tactics, collect the horns and do the quest for the strongbox. Pretty good gains to mid 80's. Then off to the Trogs. Last time I used a golem, I fell asleep and killed to golem as well. Leason learned...3am + steady rhythm = bad result. At least I didn't wake up in jail.
