Gaining stealth on Gargoyle

I have raise many stealth on human/elf to gm. Now I'm trying to do it on a Gargoyle and I'm stuck at 75. I have no soulstone to transfer skill. I have try stone Armour and plate but after 8hrs I don't gain anymore. Do you have any suggestion for me.

Are you wearing the proper armor?
According to the Hiding and Stealth FAQ here, it suggests:

65-95 GM Full Studded Leather Suit
95-GM GM Full Studded Leather Suit and GM Close Helm​

I can't remember what there is for Gargoyle's to wear regarding Studded Leather (I know they can't use the Close Helm), but the point is you want to get your armor at the point where you "fail" fairly regularly at Stealthing...

As a Gargoyle you can't wear studded, so the guide isn't of any help. Stone is as close of studded you can get. I Finally get the gain. I use my GGS and I wear 2 pieces of platemail for 75-82, and 3 pieces form 82 - ...

Well, at least you know now WHY you weren't gaining - and maybe you can add your Gargoyle info to the FAQ...

Here how I done it.
Cloth armor for 50 -62
Leather armor 62-75 ( I did try stone armor, but sure when I did)
Platemail armor 72-82 ( arm and Kilt) 82-Gm ( arm,kilt and Legging) Chest is to heavy

If you wear to much armor, you will get the message " You could not hope to move quietly wearing this much armor.

I am also stuck at 75 stealth on my stealthier but I can not remember doing anything on Sonoma to make a 120 stealther last year except by using stealth in very dangerous places. The game changes too much to keep up with the new patches. Here on Atlantic I am stuck at 75 no matter what I do. I was just about to buy the stone Gargoyle outfit that I can ill afford and am so glad I read these messages. Thanks everyone. I'll start wearing different armor. I wonder what you use to achieve 120 Stealth now.

Now I need to find a full studded suit for my Human Stealther but I can't remember what STUDDED leather is about. Is it medable? I have horned and barbed leather LRC but no studded.

Something worked for me when I made my Sonoma Stealther who had no problems with constant gains and reached 120 Skill.
She is a GARGOYLE wearing a simple mix of spined garish leather & cloth, both LRC, no jewelry to increase skill, only LRC jewelry.
Other sills are:
lock picking 100,
hiding 100,
tracking 100,
detecting hidden 66,
magery/eval/med enough to gate

It may be that a complementary skill is required such as lhiding with lockpicking ??

I am going to try get a spined leather outfit made for my GARGOYLE stealthier on Atlantic and will add lock picking to my new stealthier to see if that helps. There are various levels of lock picking boxes in Goodman's Library on Atlantic to use.

Unless it was changed since that armor refinement patch its impossible to fail stealthing on a gargoyle once you hit 80. I can put on plate, stone, any kind of armor in the game on my gargoyle and never fail stealth. I was forced to gain it on an elf then stone it over to my gargoyle.

I like that idea of making the Elf stealthier and transferring the skill to my gargoyle. If that works, it is worth trying. I could transfer the 75 Stealth Skill from my gargoyle to the elf then back to the Gargoyle later. Gargoyles have such great speed when they fly, and they don't need to ride anything. It would be fun to have a competition with other rideables to see which is the fastest.

Dont konw what you where doing but with stone and plate on falin was possible, and gaining was also possible that was about 3 weeks ago.
