Forgot to post this last week...first time for me
It should actually be more common, especially when you have 6 or more players on a run.
They have phrases for aiming for the top or bottom rows, but nothing about the same seats on different rows. Confusing, I know.
There are 6 seats per row, with 2 rows, making the 12 jury setup. Using a 6 toon CJ, each player should (in theory) aim only for the 2 seats that are in front of them. Once there is a toon in both of those seats, you know you have your aim set correctly (no left/right adjustment needed). When the timer is between 20 and 30 seconds, NO ONE should fire their cannons at all. At 20 seconds, fire off a toon (aim up a little first). Even if that toon misses, you have plenty of time to get a toon into a seat, aim for the next seat and shoot. When done right, it's possible to get 10 or more toons on the jury before the timer runs out. The problem with shooting with the timer between 20 and 30 seconds is that a cog will land in the seat and you will have very little (if ANY) time to try to get a new toon into that seat. It's a matter of getting toons into the seats when the cogs won't have time to take the seat back over.
