Is there anyone that can give me info on Frost Dragons? Would like to prepare before I dig up a level 7 map I just got...

Do they have the same AoE as Frost Drakes? How tough are they when compared to AW's (the toughest thing on a level 6 map)?

Thanks in advance!

they are an uber version of greater dragon with istant dispell on everything...
they can deal 40-50 damage with a full 70 suit.

Thanks Pinco! Sounds dangerous, hmm. So no AoE damage from them? If I go head to head with 'em I'll most likely be using a GD and a tamer/t-hunter template, and it would be nice to know if I'm safe while trying to vet/casting GH's.

Completed the map, had two frost dragons spawn.

Not much info yet, I didn't have a lot of time to scribble down stats, but one had 2000+ HP, the other one had 2400+ HP and they chomp down pets in seconds...

Didn't get a new map, but if I get another 7 I'll write down resists aswell...

Easiest way I had found on Beta was to disco & provoke them. Disco was the easy part, the provoking, well lets say wasn't real easy. Once disco'd they went fairly quick.

Wish they came out with a version of frost dragons that was tameable, or just revamp white wyrms...it needs it.

Agreed, especially since the new Frost Drakes and Frost Dragons have the same awesome color range as the old Ancient Wyrms... :)

Was lucky once more, found another level 7 map, but this time it's for Ilshenar. Now I've noticed no new info for Ilshenar level 7 maps on the UO Guide website, but I did find a japanese website which said a special mob called Renegade Changeling spawns...

Anyone have experience fighting these renegade changelings? Are they a buffed up Irk/Guile or something?

Once again, thanks in advance :)

It is near impossible to vet your pet because of their cold effect. First you have to isolate them which is not so easy as they teleport back to the chest. I stick a greater dragon on them and stand back and cast greater heal. Even then the greater dragon loses health fast. When your dragon gets a bit below half health run off the screen and summon it with a pet ball. Heal it to maximum and repeat.

I also tried with an all 70's resists archer but he was doing little damage and getting redlines fast. I am sure some templates would do better than I did.

Level 7 maps may be good fun for a group or guild but if you are doing them for the loot stick to Level 5 and 6. The extra time it takes for the slight increase in loot does not make them worthwhile.

Was utterly curious, so I said to myself "stupid is as stupid does" and dug up the lvl 7 in Ilshenar...

Here's a printscreen of the Renegade Changeling's stats. The picture of the changeling is from the Japanese website I visited earlier...

Was a very interresting fight, very much like Guile or Irk. 3k loot, or around that ammount. Once I was done with the chest I milked it out. Fought three of them in the end...

More annoying than a frost dragon, but personally I think all types of changelings are annoying :p

I have quite a lot of work to do on the treasure hunt info and hunter's guide atm. Terry has informed me that cold drakes and changelings are spawning on level 6s on different facets.

Correct, Petra. Here's what I saw spawning on level 6's in Ilshenar:

- Changelings
- Exodus Minions
- Gargoyle Destroyers
- Enslaved Satyrs
- Titans

And on level 7 I saw the Renegade Changelings and pretty much the same as level 6's in Ilshenar, but on the one I did no Enslaved Satyrs spawned. Not sure if they are added to the spawn aswell, but that could potentially be a real killer upon start up spawn. Just imagine 3 Renegade Changelings with 4 enslaved satyrs, phew!... :)

If possible use Hp regen, my tamer has ninja and dog form was enough regen to vet my pet...using a GD with 50+ cold help.
