 I'm curious about what people like to use to get that kill point. I'm a fan of spells myself.:shots: All replies welcome.:pint:

 Is that archery related perhaps? I've been dropped rather fast by archers very effective indeed.:thumbup1:

One of the things I enjoy doing the most is tracking down stealthers and using detect hidden to pop them out of hiding. Doesn't really matter to me who kills them at that point.

 Tina concerning tracking skill I'm curious about the skill I have read up on it. Does being able to smoke bomb impede it much you think? :pint:I think using detect hidden is great as well.

I'm not sure I understand your question. If using the tracking skill brings up the name of someone you want to track and you select them, you get a big flashing arrow that points in their general direction. It doesn't matter if the person is hiding or not or if they hide after you pick them up on tracking. The arrow stays up for a period of time that seems to be tied to your tracking skill (i.e., the higher your tracking skill, the longer it stays up), or until your prey leaves the area. With GM tracking skill, I've had a tracking arrow stay up for someone that guildmates chased all the way from the TB base to the Brit moongate. I finally got a "you lost your prey" message when the character went through the gate.

If you're asking if I think smoke bombs should be eliminated, the answer is no, not at all. If you're asking if I think they can help someone stop being tracked or not be tracked at all, my answer is a big maybe. If the character doing the tracking doesn't have much tracking skill, then I suspect they might lose the tracking arrow when their prey hides, whether by using hiding skill, a smoke bomb, an invisibility potion, or invisibility spell. However, I really haven't experimented too much with trying to track characters using a low level of tracking skill. I always take tracking skill to 100 to be as effective as I possibly can be. I can find more hidden characters and track them longer and over greater distances than someone who hasn't invested many points into the skill. If my prey uses a smoke bomb to hide and the timer on the arrow hasn't run out yet, I just pop them out of hiding again.

 Yep your right, I forgot that being revealed is just as important as dismounting or killing the enemy faction that is. :pint:

Well, I wouldn't go so far as to say being able to reveal hiders is as important as killing them. However, I have seen an awful lot of posts in the last few months from people whining about stealthers doing things like resetting sigils without leaving the base. I don't really understand why the people whining seem to have forgotten there are skills you can use to find stealthers, if they're causing that much of a problem and you can't consistently ferret them out through other means.

If your human, you can use your 20 jack of all trades bonus to track a stealther. It will take several trys, but you will track them eventually.

If you guarding, have the whole group use the skill tracking if they are human, someone will pick the stealther up. Then throw conflag potions or poison fields to reveal them, but if they are good at what they do, they will just move away or change form to throw off the track.
