Flying with gargs in SA

I was really hoping that with the open beta they would let people with closed accounts play for free, however they didn't.

I'm dying to know how the flying works for the gargs. Would someone enlighten me? Like, do you have control over the height? does it increase your run speed? screenshots?

I'm hoping this will get me excited about UO again. If there is anything else that really stands out I would also love to know about it.

Flying works basically the same as ethy mounts: you mount up (take off), whereupon you're able to move at mounted speed. The benefit of flying over riding is that flying doesn't fill a pet slot. No, you cannot adjust your height off the ground.

I see no elevation, it wouldn't fill any pet slot.

Interesting a lot better than my Hiryu which has cute butterfly wings but can't fly yet fill up space nice.

is it flying face down like the monster gargs go? where you look like your eating grass as you fly? if someone could show me a screenie i would really appreciate it

Flying is also needed to reach certain places in the Underworld.

You can convert most armor/weapons to gargoyle armor. Except hats and gloves.
