FIX OCEANIA !!

WOW, come on guys, enough is enough .... how much longer do we have to wait before we hear an update? People are starting to leave because you guys are killing our community by not communicating with us. We can handle waiting 2 - 3 months for the server to be fixed but its not keeping us updated which is pissing everyone off. Atleast tell us every 2-3 days that theres no news at present rather than 2-3 weeks of silence.
WE WANT OUR SHARD BACK !!!

I was just reading C's post yesterday about this yesterday. Had new hardware there, but hard to configure it ultra-remotely? (makes you think it's out in the middle of nowhere - Not!) Personally, I think that's all a lie - they installed the game, now it's going thru 13yrs worth of patches, and the EC keeps crashing. Remote servers have been installed for years. They rent/lease the space (probably gear too) and in downtown, do they not? Just another Fail

Isn't it they try to get some benefit from us? Why don't they play Oceania earlier? just transfering while they got advantage?

This is just an issue of bad communication, and there is really no point of starting another problem by stereotyping.

We all just want to be able to play comfortably, last thing that i want to get is we got labelled as racists.

For me, i dont mind having other xsharders farming in our shard, the more player the merrier, just the "lagginess" that frustrates me (and the rest of regulars)

As far as Cal's use of the word "ultra-remotely". At first, I thought it probably had something to do with remote hardware configuration and communication. That could be a hassle. Then I wondered how they handle the west coast servers with EAMYTHICBIOWAREUO being in NC. They seems to manage that just fine. I suppose if it were a hardware customization issue, and they truly cared, the worst case scenario is that they'd package a couple guys and send them on a plane.

Then I thought this must just be a software issue. In which case, I fail to see how setting up a server in Australia is any different than setting one up in Sudan or Taiwan, let alone Michigan or California.

"Meant to get this to you sooner.
We had some problems getting the contract in place with the servers. But all seems settled now.

We will be placing a backup of the Oceania production shard on the managed servers space.

Our target is COB Monday March 28th EST (That's usually around 5 pm)
At that time we will post to the Herald for players to jump on to determine performance."

I hope this is the last update about this matter!

Here is the latest status:
We expected our servers to be available today, unfortunately the guys in Australia did not configure all of the hardware as expected.

On our end we are ready, but we're waiting on our network POCs in Aussie to grant us connection to the rest of the hardware.

That is all I have at this time. Apologies for the continued delay ...
