Fix in the Works?

Is there a fix in the works for a flagging exploit on summoned creatures in Fel? Nothing worse then a blue targeting your EV or wisp and attacking it so you go gray to them. They can then kill you and you don't have the ability to give them a count since you end up technically the aggressor. I am sure they envisioned blues having to take counts for PK'ing another blue. I know there is (was?) a similar problem with pets but come on, my tiny wisp is in no way a super dragon. I don't mind dying to a blue, but to end up not being able to give a count due to bad game mechanics is just lame.

I think I remember talking about stuff like this in 1998.

Basically, I wouldn't expect a change any time soon. Maybe next millennium :p

Why is it you can't give them a count?

Because when they attack your whisp you are somehow flagged the aggressor and they can attack you?

Or, they have killed your whisp, you attack them and die, then can't give out a count?

I'm unsure as i've not come accross this before...

Rub Rub goes the sand paper :p The summons seem to work on the same flagging system as pets. Since they target your summon it auto-defends. This makes you the aggressor to them and if they end up killing you you do not get the gump since you are seen as the aggressor by the system. You get the " Would thoust flee during the heat of battle" message as well. I had to invis several times to shake the PK'er. He then simply came back on his Red to finish the job. Point is, you see a red you know what you might be in for. See a blue, be wary but know they will at least get a count. The way it is now they get the element of surprise. I have been working the champ and suddenly a gray blue comes running up from nowhere and starts killing me because he found one of my EV and hit it. At the very least some sort of message that "so and so" is attacking your summon would help in that situation. In terms of killing him.... maybe I would stand a better chance if I was a factioner with uber bandies and extra mod equipment. Sometimes I win...usually I lose. No sour apples over that, just the mechanics of being forced into a PVP situation in which there is no penalty to the aggressor when there clearly should be.

Lol..it sure does. It also makes it so you can't have EV or wisps up if you want to avoid the sneaky bastages. That lowers my mana regen which stinks when taking down the champ.

You just have to be a bit more careful using evs. They attack everything they can= grey and red and if you are red everything. If a player is grey your ev will attack him making you aggressor. So when people you dont trust are near just stop use them. Your wisp will never attack them it might defend you but then just dont make it to guard you. And they will just go grey killing it. Its not hard you just have to think about when and where you use evs in felucca.
Old days evs attacked everything even yourself then you really had to think twice before cast them and be ready with dispel the second another player got on screen. If you didnt want to fight and take a count or if you where red that is.

In this case it was my wisp, not an EV that got me. I wondered why he was running back and forth over me again and again. You cannot make a summoned wisp guard you or do anything. I have learned to keep my EV close and dispel as needed, but I never knew about the wisp being vulnerable as well.
