It's often been talked about as if fixing the bad-stuff loopholes would require a major re-engineering of the foundations of the game, but I've never been clear about why it's different than crossing sub-servers, which is a problem that seems to have been solved.

(although I suppose they could end up being stacked / used as a weapon if they could be used instantly upon opening)

Speedy - There is a trick to avoid the cohesion bit. Stand still after casting a gate, until the sound stops, then go through. As long as you stand still during the sound, you'll never get that cohesion message again. Try it, you'll see.

I agree this should be changed. Will it be, and when? Who knows Until then, slow down a bit. Waiting till the sound effect of the gate spell to finish before trying to use the gate seems to do the trick (most of the time anyway)

its not going to be fixed in fact the cohesion thing was a fix for some duping xploits related to black holes so if you dont like dupers then u have to live with lack of cohesion.

Yes but, that would only work if you were casting the gate. It wouldnt work if you were following someone else through a gate you didnt make, or going back through the gate you made.. would it?
