Fishing Poles - What weapon type?

I know that fishing poles are two handed and have a 'shield' weapon type. The specials that show up are: stun/disarm (wrestling specials).

I tried using evasion with bushido, doesn't work (says must have weapon in hands to perform this).

I tried using stun/disarm with wrestling on, doesn't work.

I tried using parry, seems to work ok. However, I haven't tested this using high DCI.

What I'm wondering is, what kind of "weapon skill" do I need to have in order for my dci to work and to become hard to hit. Most likely parry but beyond that I'm not sure. Maybe Evaluate Int + Anatomy + Parry?

Thoughts?

Hmmm ... wrestling maybe?
I dont think, there is a weapon skill tied to fishing poles, thought throwing would somehow fit and open interesting options. (Actually treat them more like an equipped spellbook than as a weapon. Not shure, if you can drink pots with an eq fishing pole.)

I agree, I don't think there is a weapon type for fishing poles. Also, if you do hit something with them (have played a mage char in the past and been holding a fishing pole, critter gets too close and of course melee starts) they break really easily. I have not tested it since the booster launched to see if that is still the case.
