sounds like you havent crab fished much.

you need to get 50+ traps to start. better yet get 500

I spent a couple hours with 170 traps using a row boat boat to lay out rows and the area never got depleted. And I only lost about 70-80 traps within those couple hours

I think what they are talking about is there is a new publish going out to test center, and in the notes it says that fishing spots will start depleting again. Currently, you can stand in one spot and the fish (or crab & lobster) will not run out.

With as result:

You will not be able to do this anymore in the near future.

It's not so bad with the fish moving from place to place but crabbing is such a pain as it is..
