First time crafter

Recently returned to UO and have decided to do something I have never done, create a crafting toon. Maybe even open up my own shop at some point in the future.

I have read several of the guides but I have three very basic questions:
1. Should I be a human, gargoyle or elf?
2. Which crafting skills should I train?
3. Is there a particular sequence I should train the skills?

I think I would definately want Imbuing & Arms Lore, so that is 220 points gone. So figure, unless you think I am completely wrong on Imbuing, I have another 500 points to allocate.

If it helps, I have been working on a Bard Tamer and an Archer, although I might choose to stone archery and use swords for variety.

Thanks in advance.

I suggest you add Mining and Blacksmithing. Blacksmithing seems to be a very useful skill to have when training Imbuing. Mining will allow you to get the ingots needed to train (and mining gems required for high intensity Imbued properties). Human is a good choice for a miner, since they can carry more than gargoyles and elves of the same strength. Ingots are a good source of turn-ins to the Britain Library too.

That should keep you busy for a while, so you decide what else to pursue.

Stayin Alive,
