Ok, so i've had a little time off (about a year).
Sort of finding my feet again as things seem to have changed again.
One thing thats puzzling me are these peeps that Solo champ spawns and such?
How?
I got a full 70's suit with loads of HP regen and i still get creamed off those Eathy warriors in Moonglow. I mean 1 flame strike (or whatever it is they cast) and im toast.

120 swords
120 anat
120 parry
100 tact
100 healing (+enhanced bandies)
80 Chiv
80 Focus.

Is this Temp so 'out of date' now?
Or have warriors be given the 'Royal shaft' these days?

I couldnt tell you about soloing peerless (altho i believe the sammy vamp is the current trend for that), the only temp ive ever solod a spawn on is a necro mage, as far as i can tell its the most effective at all levels of the spawn, bush dexxers would seem to me to have a hard time (cant EoO difficuult to honour Every target befor you damage) at the 3rd levels.

Unless you get all the 3rd level mobs to cast on you at once, sampire can rock that too...

Get a decent weapon with whirwind attack + life leech... and you're set. Get all the creatures together and whirlwind away.

Those ethy warriors in Moonglow are on roids. It's not your template.

Focus isn't really necessary anymore w/the amount of pots you can chug/divine fury/stamina regen is the easiest way and it saves you skill points to put towards something like Necro to be able to cast vamp form. Some people go with wraith samurai with SS and use curse weapon. The downfall is that you don't have a swampy to help absorb the damage.

The Ethreal Warriors (or as I call them Feathery *******s) will dish out alot of damage, regardless of your template. They are mean, but your template is solid against them. A good tactic to use versus them is to team up with another warrior and cross heal each other. They are vulnerable to Fey Slayer (Pixie Swatter is the only one) and have zero fire resist. Try not to get ganged up on by them.

Your warrior template is fairly solid for hunting just about anything. I do not know much about the ones used to solo champion spawns, but it is a solid template. Just make sure you are scrolled higher than 100 in healing for the enhanced bandaids to work (you can just leave the skill locked at 100), since they add +10 to your healing skill.

I have just looked again at your template and have a question, do you use bushido (did you miss it of list), or is it an old school parry dexxer??

The reason i ask is, to maximise damage bushido and to maximise defence bushido is kinda a must.

Yup i've been reading up on the boards today. looks like my best bet would be to drop Focus for Bushido.
Now one question i have to ask now is; If i take Bushido high, do i still need Parry or can i just use 2handed weapons instead as they get a block bonus from Bush..... apparently...?

Not sure on the calculations...maybe give it ago on test find a greater drag (probs the closest to the kinda thing you want to solo without doing a quest) and give it a go play around a lil youll find the combo that works best for your play style.

Some will tell you drop chiv down to a minimum etc...youll get hundreds of diff opinions, imho the best way is to test and c what suits you.

You'll want both to maxmize defense. But you also shouldn't use a shield... it's weird how they work together. However, if you use a 2handed weapon you get a 40% chance to block though with 120/120 parry/bushi.

Bushido is great though. Maximize damage with chivalry by using Lightning Strike getting critical hits every so often (the higher the bushi the higher your chances to land one) You get Evasion every 20 seconds, the ability to dodge hits + spells. It's measured I believe by your bushido + anatomy. It only lasts a few seconds but can be a life saver. You also get Confidence, regens HP really fast until you're hit, then every parry it will regen you more. That can be used over and over unlike the 20 second wait with Evasion. Also Counter Attack, great for PvP. If you know someone is gonna mortal you, or dismount you, equip your Counter Attack and it will revert the special back onto your attacker.

You can get away with 60 chivalry. You'll fail at times with EoO and Divine, but nothing to worry about.

If you want to go ultimate solo + meat shield, you'll want to drop healing and get necro for Vamp form. A little harder on the suit since you gotta make up the loss in fire resists. But you'll be able to ride a swampy to help absorb PvM damage, you constantly leech hit points as well. Coupled with a hit mana/hit life/hit stamina leech weapon, you're constantly healing. Especially if spawning and you've got 8 monsters on you, equip a Soulseeker or something with whirlwind that has hit life leech and you heal yourself w/out the need of bandies or potions.

Doing a peerless solo is a bit tougher and takes practice.

It's probably already been said but yeah, if you go bush + parry you'll want to use either a 1 handed wep and no shield or a 2 handed wep.

For the fallen warriors you may also want to try a pixie swatter, I think their ubws (scepters) 100% fire damage (the fallen warriors weakest resist). They have hit area though so you might end up flagging on everything. Though the good thing is that the hit area damage is based on the damage your doing to the main target. (so if your using a fey slayer on an eth warrior the area damage will likely be doing 30's)

Not a fan of healing in pvm, vamp or wraith dexxer is best imo.

Chiv I usually go with 65, it's good enough for enemy of one/divine and gives everything else 100% success. (I hate fizzling sacred journey)

Oh and armoured swamp dragon for the damage reduction.

Rich, as far as i'm aware it hasn't changed and that's the whole idea of that Bushido spell... Counter the attack of what the attacker is going to do to you. Not many people use it though... but it's a pain in the arse if used right.

I agree, having to use bandies it a pain in PvM as well, sometimes you get so busy with the spawn and making sure your doing the right specials I sometimes forget to hit my heal key. That's why sampire is great because you're always healing as long as you're hitting. You just can't use cure pot...but vampire form you're resistant to most poisons besides I think lvl 4 or so...

I never have understood the 65-chivalry logic...

People say it's good enough for Enemy of one, but I can only get EoO off about 1/3 the time in the 80s. I'm much more likely to need 3-8 castings to get it off than 1, and on a character with 65 it takes 20-30 attempts.

Plus, if you play with groups, there are times when combining personal heals with a noble sacrifice to rez others is a lot more effective than using aids to rez 2 or more people. I've been able to noble sac WHILE fighting the DF in Doom, without dying, by having an aid go off within a tic or two of the sacrifice,

My chars with 65 get it off in under 5 attempts, you don't need to cast it every few seconds like you would consecrate weapon so theres no need to have 100% success with it (which is at 90).

Unless your char is still in vamp form from before the "fix" you will need 99 necro for it.

Basara, most people who run a sampire, or who has a guildie who has one, knows that they're not a healer, but a meatshield so more often than not they're not expecting to be healed by that person.
