Finish the Playguide already

Holy crap! The official playguide has been useless for a long damn time now. Jeez, if you can't finish it then put the old information back online.

It's just plain stupid how long we've been getting this message;

We have just recently completed a major overhaul to the Herald's back end content management system. Due to this we're busily working to re-populate all of the content within the play guides, until that time we apologize for this brief interruption and check back soon - thank you!"

Seriously though, I think they have more important things to work on right now, and actually have had more important things to work on for years.

Wrong, that's the old formula.

UO Stratics - Healing Skill

Wrong again, that's also the old formula.

Then there's this;

At least a lot of the old information was still useful. How is nothing at all useful? I'm not sure exactly but I believe it's been more than a YEAR now that the Playguide was broken.

UOGuide is a public wiki. Just edit it and it'll be right. All of the information on Stratics is submitted by players. Submit a corrected guide. I'm sure they'll give you credit.

And I thought I was forgiving. The point of my post isn't/wasn't to point out that any info on Stratics or uoguide was/is incorrect.

My point is that they took most of the Official Playguide offline sometime more than a year ago and have still not finished it. Yes just another sad commentary on the status of our game but they could have still just left the old info up while they were updating it.

What is the correct healing formula then?

Well the pub 71.0 stated:

Healing Skill

* Max Heal Duration Reduced to 8 seconds.


Other than that I haven't seen the exact NEW formula from the devs.

My best guess is that now it's

8 seconds minus(-) dexterity / 30

I've only tested it on a template with 150 dexterity. So I'm just guessing whether they changed the divider from 20 to 30.

They gave us the files, and we stuck them up where they are accessible, but they aren't the most searchable things (looking for Five on Friday or Playguide literally brings up EVERY page in the archive, as every page had a links to those sections - but that was a problem even when they were on uo.com)

Our Past CEO (medical center) walking with the Environmental Services Director, said exactly that, director said I have people that do that and kept walking, ceo picked it up, next day, Director was canned

Yeah, it'd be nice to get all the relevant data from there.
I wanted to check and learn a few things the other day.
It was complicated for me to open up multiple pages and figure out which is more up to date..

I still find it incredibly embarassing for EA that they need third-party site in order to host a few html pages. Let alone not having their own official forums...

I'm all in favor of an official and complete playguide, it's just that I've given up hope. It's never gonna happen, they just don't have the manpower. They should just redirect the page to uoguide.

Also: I want MyUO back!
