Finding Slayer Weps

I think you used to be able to hunt for slayer weps (as loot) by fighting monsters in that slayer's opposing group (ex. you would fight humanoids to find undead slayers or undead monsters to find Repond slayers).

Does anyone know if that rule is still in place or are they just completely random now?

Completely random - that rule's been out of the game since AoS in early 2003.
