1) Marry a clever but plain woman with a low libido. The best possible scenario is if she is the only daughter of a noble family that has fallen on hard times, with few or no siblings, sickly parents, and a lot of cousins.
2) Always promise to take the public's suggestions, recommendations and complaints into account.
3) Do not, under any circumstances, actually take the public's suggestions, recommendations and complaints into account.
4) I understand that they are very annoying, but war with Magincia is never worth the effort.

Funding is not the most important issue in politics, but it is the most publically visible and will make or break the nascent governor's career.
Fig, stop ignoring my question. I am your citizen now. If you ignore the budgetary inquiries of the citizenry, you will be opening yourself up to trouble. Feel free to lie, however.
