I'd been wanting to try this since several months ago when Stupid Miner did it, but was in middle of rebuilds. Finally got a chance today. Here's how it went...
For this my sampire had 120 Swords, 110 Tactics, 100 Parry, 100 Anatomy, 100 Necro, 70 Chiv. (This is because I change between Parry/Resist/Healing/Anatomy/LJ/SS depending on what I'm using it for).
Stats 125 HP (145 with pots), 150 Dex/190 Stamina (because I usually use Ornates), 50 something Mana. Human character.
Suit is all 70's in vamp form, 100 di, 40 lmc, 2 mr (5 with form), 30 hci, 40 dci, 30 hld, 5 ssi on ring.
Using an old Dragon Slayer Daisho for Feint, that had too much SSI on it from a previous build and not enough leech. (Couldn't be bothered to make a better weapon as I wasn't expecting to finish it.)
Went in, waited, waited, waited, waited, finally it spawned, honoured it, Enemy of One gave no increase so I wasn't using that, just Feint, Consecrate and Counter Attack/LS when I had the chance.
Its normal hit on a Paroxysmus' swamp dragon was doing 50-80, and at first I was having real mana troubles.
At first I thought my mana regen was bugged from the Medusa's I'd done yesterday but it turns out one of those spells it casts is Mind Rot, it appears on your debuff bar which I don't always have out on this char. It also does Curse on resists only. Both without the system message and animation.
After finding that out it got a lot easier, basically doing circuits through the ankh area and area on the south wall, using Confidence to heal when needed. When attacking I'd Consecrate and arm Feint before running towards it, in case it missed. As with the Slasher theres no timer on remounting after its dismount attack. With the sound on you can hear when its going to EQ so thats easy to avoid.
Annoyingly it runs back to the stage every so often which made it take longer, what with wasted Fenits. It was slower moving than I remembered from other characters I've done it on.
It dropped the new human Sign Of Order shield in my pack with no message at the end.
As this sampire is mainly designed for using Ornates for DPS I had less hci/dci/hp than some of my Feint builds, which have 45 hci/dci and 150 hp, so that would make it easier still.
