Finally found a tree that gave Frostwood...

So I finally found a tree that yielded Frostwood. I managed to hit it twice before it changed to Oak, for a total of 287 Frostwood.

That 287 frostwood is now .25% of my total wood stock when you count all the different types. Consider that number would be much lower if we counted the spent boards for gming bowyer and carpentry. However, from reading other posts it appears I'm fortunate to have come across so much frostwood.

At this point, I'm not sure whether to complain or brag. I really only want it for enhancing monster loot to unravel to relic frags.

I assume you are talking about enhancing bows using frostwood. Or is there any other type of monster loot which, enhanced with frostwood, would give relic frags ?

How are you selecting the monster loot that qualifies as a good candidate to waste frostwood on it for enhancing ?

How do you deal with the high chance of items breaking when being enhanced?

bows and weapons made with carpentry. I use Dermott's copper enhanced mod to total up the intensity on an item. The mod will suggest a material for enhancing to increase the intensity into the relic frag range. I don't know the bonus for each special material offhand.

As for breakage, the loot is generally only worth a few enchanted essence to begin with, so there are no tears shed when they break.

I have been having the same frostwood and bloodwood spots since the patch. There are very little chances to have those be changed if you dont repeatedly dry the spot. Get 100 per day may be better than 287 in a whole life...
