Final Say in regards to disco and tame ?

Have read conflicting posts on this so once and for all I ask

Does using disco on a pet before taming it affect it's permanent stats ??

Some of the posts I have read are old so I am just seeking clarification.

Discoing a pet before taming won't cause any long term stat damage. I know some tamers are wary of trying it just in case it might, but to my knowledge it's never been reported.

Once you tame the critter, invis yourself until the disco sparklies disappear and you're good to go
