fey leggings vs leggins of bane & stealth

I have 1 char that has fey leggins and never fails on stealthing at 75. same template, all same armor on another char except this one has leggings of bane and at 80 stealth i fail miserably. anyone know why and/or what skill i'll have to have my stealth at in order to not fail while wearing the leggings of bane?

Fey Leggings are medable (Mage Armor). You will never fail a stealth check in all medable armor once you have 80 stealth skill. (I havent tested it recently, but I think you will fail from time to time at 75 skill.)

Leggings of Bane are normal chain mail. I just tested it and I fail after a few screens walking with them at 100 stealth. At 110 stealth I was able to stealth from Vesper to Brit without failing.

If your looking for good leggings for a stealther try ShadowDancer leggings.
