Few Questions...

Hello all.

Was thinking of returning to UO lately but im not sure of few things.
I was playing on sonoma from 1998 to 2001 and then after those wonderful 3 years i had to quit. I started then again last year on a freeshard because i was curious of the changes and i have to say i still love this game and there is no better one for me.

Now...
Is there a chance that my characters are still alive if i would reactivate the account?
And whats the deal with the expansions? i had the second age registered but none after that one.
I see that one can now download the clients for free, but does that mean that all addons are activated then too?
I'm asking because i dont see any uo stuff on the shelves in the stores here anymore and even amazon had none as i looked last time.

Its possible your characters are still there.

Clients are free but you still need the UO:Mondain Legacy code to acess everything.

There is a new expansion coming. But we don't have alot of information about it yet.

I also quit in 2001.

When I returned in Sept 2007, all of my characters were still there. I see no reason why yours wouldn't be. However, a good 2001 character is almost completely different than a good 2009 character. But some items which you thought were common then are extremely valuable now. So check it out.

You'll need to buy up a few expansions or just find the 9th anniversary set and get them all in one package. I think when I started I had to buy the samurai empire and Mondain's Legacy expansions.

The client is free. The expansions are just permission to access the new content on the server side.

Thank you for your answers. Guess i'll look for the 9th anniversary set and see if my chars are still alive....even if bit dusty
I know i have to reskill them a little, but it would save quite some time than if starting from scratch.
Too bad only that many things i had were in my house which is now long gone, but my crafter should be able to bring some money in again...if he is still there.
