(Player Event) Fest is almost here - a contest to help get ready!

First, anyone who will want a vendor at the fest (rares and/or non-rares), please sign up at http://stratics.com/threads/chessiefest-2015-gypsies-goblins-and-pirates-oh-my.347902 so I can make sure to reserve you a spot.

Second, we're starting to run out of time collecting mud puppies from the underworld. We're going to need around 275... at the moment, we have 31.

So..... I'm going to hold a fishing contest!

Drop off mud puppies to either my mailbox at the Vesper keep (there's extra mailboxes inside if needed) or at Ivy's Vesper community center. I'll be using the fisherman's name to count them, so PM me what your fisherman/fisherwoman's name is, so I can figure out who is who. Anyone can enter; whoever turns in the most mud puppies (you have to turn in at least 20 to qualify) will win the prize. The deadline is midnight Sept 4 (well, whenever I happen to wake up and check mailboxes on Saturday the 5th ).

And what prize, you ask?

A sparkling 5.0 fishing SOT for the winner's hard working fisherperson to enjoy!

The Vesper Auction House and Tavern used to be called the Vesper Community Center. I couldn't fit everything I wanted into it though, so it's just an auction house and tavern now.

I would be happy to help out fishing mudpuppys on one condition, I have no desire to win any prizes and would not like to be taken under consideration for any prizes. I know, I'm like some kind of weird crusader, but I have a long standing principle of not having any transactions of any kind with the rares community *heads off to therapy now*

dumb question ... are the mud puppies without the fisherman's name useable? i've caught a few that are 9 or 12 stones but aren't tagged with Isobel's (my fisherwoman) name.

Many thanks to all the fishermen and women - Ariel, Bow Duke, Isobel, John Boy, Lily, Lord Ashton, Lord Tehan, Reeky Bugbutt, and Pierre Duangle - who turned in mud puppies - we made it, with a total of 240 mud puppies (plus 26 red herrings for any later comers to the fest )

The winner of the contest is Ariel, with a huge 90 mud puppies. I'm pretty sure that's your fisherwoman Fabula? If you catch me in game or on ICQ, I'll get you your prize.

wow, congrats! what part of the abyss did you fish in to catch so many? the spot where i was fishing only had about 5 "fishing holes" i could cast in before it would tell me the fish weren't biting.

Hello Angel on both side but i have started the 25 august if my memory is good my plan was 10 fish by day . Not so hard to get and when you are lucky you get it fast .

I found the spot down below the broken bridge did well. Only 3 spots, but they took long enough to run out that I could fish all three, maybe toss a few crab and lobster traps at the same time, then clear my pack to a beetle and with a bag of sending, by which time the first spot would have replenished.
