ferret form 120 +10? or... ?

so, if i'm 120 stealing and in ferret form, do i get a stealing bonus?

also - a guy told me that your ability to stay hidden while snooping/stealing was DEX dependent. i don't remember it being that way when i played a thief years ago.

what's the current status on necessary thief dex?

I am thinking that no bonus is received. A true consideration would have been for them to add a movement bonus or stealth bonus to ferret in addition, but thieves are not welcomed.
At grandmaster snooping failure is never experienced. I am not remembering any messages about dexterity, but missing them I may have.

When you snoop with GM snooping you are never unhidden, and when you steal you are always unhidden. No dex consideration in that. There was a rumor that high dex helps in unnoticed steals, but I think nobody has been able to confirm that one way or another. Instead high dex helps in stealth against passive detect. Not very much, though.

?? When you hit the "steal" macro you are always revealed. The steal might not be noticed (which means that the guy you stole from won't be able to call guards on you), but you always come out of hiding as soon as you hit the steal macro, even in doom. That's not exactly a new game mechanic...

On the other point, it has been tested over the years. Dex is no variable when it comes to stealing. Never has, but I wouldn't have an issue if they did add it to the calculations...la
