Fellow tamers would you sell your dread war horse?

I have a dread warhorse with a 4.2 stars on the ppc.

Some tamer on my shard offered me over 90 mill for it.

And i'm trying to decide if i should sell or keep it.

I use it alot.

What would you guys do?

Ive only ever given away dreads when they spawned(i was pretty much solo killing/taming the vanguards morning noon and night while they spawned) as i had alot left over.

Now..NEVER!

Unless they decide to re-introduce them into the game sometime in the future, the price should continue to climb as people loose theirs.

Nope, that one is a keeper. I tamed around 30 when they were available and gave them away. The best one I tamed was the first one, lol, and he is excellent. Gave a bunch of good ones to friends and kept an "okay" one for my second tamer...stupid me, should have kept a better one. Don't do it, 90 million gold is nothing, this isn't UO circa 1998.

However 90 million is convertible to real currency. Or some really nice in game items.

Eventually they will reintroduce Dreads for taming again. Then your's won't be worth a plug nickle!

No, and I think this would be the same as reintroducing anything thats rare, it would make a LOT of people angry.

Pet or item, the Dread Warhorse is now considered a rare item, and desired by many.

I highly doubt they would reintroduce them into the game.

I think there are probably more tamers who'd like a respawn than wouldn't though. Besides, dreads wouldn't be the first rare non spawning pet to be re-introduced. I remember the days when pure black mares didn't spawn and the few that were tame cost a very pretty penny. I wonder how many tamers are upset that they were re-introduced

I certainly accept there are rares collectors in UO, but they don't come above the rest of the taming community. IMHO when something stops spawning in UO you have to consider that it may be brought back later and trade/collect wisely.

At some point, if they don't spawn again, folks will start to hide their dreads in the stables because the prices reach dizzy heights. I think that would be kinda sad, and i don't see how that serves the taming community positively.

I had 4 of those things. Gave one to my brother-in-law. Still have three, untrained. They're worth a lot? Yeah, I'd sell them. Never found any real use for them; they're jut one-trick ponies. A farting, bank-sitting tchotchke? Sure, you can buy one.

Now, you seem to love yours; so keep it!

I have two terrible ones, and I plan to keep them. I may gift one someday, but that would be it. I have in my notes from the 2008 Town Hall meeting in Chicago that future spawning of dread warhorses was "unknown but not likely" (said by Jeremy). She did say that there was no plan to reintroduce them in the foreseeable future.

They'll only get rare-er! (Is that a word?!)

We were told on Napa that there was currently no plans to ever respawn them. In fact... I think we've had UO Devs say that same thing...

I have a dread war horse I was given back during the vanguard invasion I've gotten offers for it quite a few times but it's basically the reason I have a tamer.

Anyway I'm not really sure about this rating system you've been using so could someone explain it.

Here are my dreads stats:

Mana: 161

Str: 514
