The second event of 2011 for the BSR was held again at the Skara Brae Fairgrounds with Toni Fierce, GM of Misfits of Society Guild as the master of ceremonies. Toni welcomed 18 archers to this night's event, went over the few rules and wished everyone GOOD LUCK. This Round Robin tournament open to all archers of Baja and a staple on the shard consists of increasingly higher scores required of the archers in just three shots to move onward to the next round. The prize for each month's winner is one million in gold , a uniquely engraved bow and a coveted seat in 2011's year end shoot-off of all the monthly winners.

The first round, where only 70 points is required, again found most archers using it as a tune-up for the latter rounds. Debi and NightStalker shot 200 which requires the elusive Robin Hood (RH), where an arrow is split by a previous shot. Handalf who normally is always in chicken form was asked to shoot as a human and quickly shot a 10!! Toni remarked that next time maybe, just maybe, he could stay in chicken form. An unseen before anomaly happened to Jocasta when she struck a RH, but both shots were outside the bulls-eye and she totaled a score of 40. The rest of the group smoothly moved to round two.

In the second round, where 100 points is now required to move to the next, saw Ahebban post a 200 and Itacha moving to spectator status with a 70.

Onward to round 3 where any mistake at all, any gust of wind, any slightly bent arrow will give you a dreaded inner ring shot and 10 points that could make you fall short of the 150 points being required to move to round 4 (which requires no less than three bulls-eyes). During this round, RawHeadRex stunned the crowd when his 1st shot was a bullseye, his 2nd shot split that arrow and his 3rd shot split his 2nd shot for a double RH and 250 points. The crowd whooped and cheered. Six archers failed to achieve the required score and eight archers were left to move on to round 4.

Round 4, normally the title round where 200 points, RH required, saw Jermiah Johnson and Hawkeye shoot RHs and tied for the crown with a shoot-off in the works. Notable shooters with outstanding nights were Frigin Azim and Richard Lion♥, who finished the night with never missing a bulls-eye and stringing 12 consecutive perfect shots.

A five-shot winner take all shoot-off was called for by Toni, and Jeremiah Johnson and Hawkeye each stepped up while the crowd rooted for their favorite archer and all wishing both these shooters GOOD LUCK.

Hawkeye, of the Great Horny Toads guild, who each round got progressively better posted four bulls-eyes and a RH to capture February's title and is the 2nd archer of 2011 to enter his name in the years end shoot-off and a chance at the year end title.

The Misfits of Society would like to invite all the archers of the land to the next Best Shot in the Realm, which will be held on Saturday, March 26th at the Skara Brae Fairgrounds at 8:30 pm pst (10:30 central, 11:30 est). We hope to see you there and until then, Bows up!
