Farming SoTs

Not the largest sample set, I know...
I've just spent some hours plugging away at the Twisted Weald and Lord Oaks spawns in Ilsh, with my mage, and my tamer.

I've maybe killed twice as many mobiles with my mage, but nothing higher than a shadow wisp, and got 4 SoTs.
On my tamer, with an unbonded Greater Dragon sad4 or an unbonded Cu, going up to the centaurs, I haven't received any.

I'm not complaining about only getting 4, because I'm dead chuffed about that (little things... ). But I was working the spawn with another tamer, who also hadn't got any.
I know it could be RNG hate, but I have to wonder whether taming just drew the short straw when it came to SoT drops. I haven't read anything about it though, so I wondered, and hence posted.

I wouldn't think that it has anything to do with taming as your choice to kill the spawn since you get the credit for the kills that the pet make. What I would wonder is the drop rate of the tram spawns and ish spawns slower than that of the fel spawns. Atleats that kind of what I have noticed. There is more to loose in fel so the reward would greater. Give it a try and see how it works.

im a mage/necro/tamer with aoe capabilities, do tons of spawns in fel and elsewhere and i rarely get SOTs. if you got 4 count yourself lucky imo

Well, I am wondering whether the Cu being unbonded is meaning it's getting the scrolls awarded to it, and I'm going to have to wait until it's bonded and tell it to 'drop'.

I did another 4 hours with my tamer, and about 30 minutes with my mage.
The tamer actually got 2, although I was training disco at the same time, and the two came when I was disco'ing the shadow wisps for gains, again with none when just using the pet.
In the 30 minutes with my mage, I got 1.
In about 90 minutes, the other tamer I mentioned in the OP hadn't received one, either.

Again, I realise this isn't a very big sample set, but there really seems to be a disparity.
They're comparatively falling from the sky for the mage, using nothing but 4th circle lightning.

I'm sure it's just random. That sample set is nowhere near big enough to be alarmed, and there are hundreds/thousands of tamers across all shards which would've noticed something
