Most of the legacy dungeons (the ones named for the anti-virtues) are best suited for hunting in ones and twos. Outside of Hythloth and Destard's lower levels, there isn't much difficult for even a GM warrior.
That being said, I think you should try somewhere else. I have two suggestions in that area:
1. Out of the Honesty moongate in Ilshenar, out of the pass to the north and across the bridge to the east, there is a spawn of cyclopses, titans and ettin. If you're not comfortable with thicker spawns, this is a great place to get comfortable. And the cyclopses can get you all the way to legendary swords and pay for your scrolls. The problem there is the paragons. For the unprepared, they can cause a little bit of worry.
2. Troglodytes. With a swordsman who is carrying soul seeker, you can kill these thing faster than you can loot them, and the loot isn't half bad either.
3. Minotaurs in the Labyrinth. As you get more experienced handling the spawn and working with the terrain, the back of the labyrinth (the tormented minotaur champ) is a fun place to work your skills. The trick is getting there without getting killed by Rend, Pyre, a dozen reptalons or 4 drakes dropping on your head.
4. The citadel. Again, this is a place for a more advanced player, but at GM skill, you could survive in a couple of the spawn areas. You just have to know where to stand, where the trap-triggers are and when to run.
5. Fan Dancers. Levels 1 and 2 hold fan dancers and demons (mostly). It's easy to find a spawn of just one or two dancers and kill them over and over without worrying about extra bad guys behind you. They won't, however, bring you all the way to "Lord" status. The demons will.
6. Ice dungeon. If you have a fire based weapon, there are many things there that will bring you to lord status quickly. The popular favorites are Arctic Ogre Lords and Ice Fiends.
My personal favorite from that list is the cyclops/titan spawn. Just remember to bring a horse.
