Factions

Is there any way to add a loot drop or artifact system to factions so we can either loot something, game generated off the corpse or receive a reward in our pack? Same as the artifact system is now maybe get an item with properties that you would get from a valorite runic or barbed kit.

It would be nice if we could actually loot the item from the corpse. A rare drop or if it popped in your pack maybe a new type of set piece or weapons designed for factions or faction hunting.

Like daemon slayers for the True Brits and others for the other factions like dragon slayers etc...

So, basicially when you kill an enemy faction member you have a chance that one of these things might pop into your pack or be found as loot.

Is there a way we could have the gold we get increased for each kill that is game generated. Maybe using a percentage from the player's skills and resistances so the reward varies like a bonus.

Why is there a timer in factions that takes your skill away for a period of 15 minutes and why does this sometimes happen in Trammel? I would like to see first of all, the ability to be in a faction guild and co-exist in Trammel without being affected in any way by the faction.

I would like to see the timer removed or reduced. It doesn't seem fair that when you die you are punished for it. Could we maybe change it so it affects people who maybe derobe enemy faction members? Also, maybe take some points away from them rather than reward them. If a player dies and gets rezed he would be naked and in a death robe until that char puts on armour or is healed he should carry a penalty to his attacker. Please, I think the timer should be removed or at least someone explain why we have it.

One more thing the last battle I was involved with we were fighting 3 people who had about 50 of these controlled guardians. Is there a way we can add control slots, so for every 1 person they can assign 3
guardians and have a timer so these guardians fade once a character leaves. This way if there is 5 people the max guardians would be 15.
Rather then 1 character controlling 50 guardians.

What pisses me off is that i should stay online when in statloss. I have nothing to do, i can't switch to other char crafter or hunter for 20 minutes. It's just silly that i should stay online and do nothing.

QFT I don't understand this either, surely the point is to stop you rejoining battle immedietly, why does it matter if I'm logged on or off for those 20 mins? surley being logged off would be more in line with the aim as even with statloss u can perfrom basic scouting/healing duties for your faction

But you could play your other faction char while other one is getting off loss. I usually go help my fellow factioneers even in loss. As a mage I can keep healing them.

I assume you mean using a 2nd account? because if your using another character on the same account your character will not burn off stat loss, and the fact that you can still help your faction mates with the stat loss char kinda defeats the point of statloss in the furst place, to an extent anyway.

This is exactly the point...

If you have no second account but all your characters are in the faction and they remove the requirement of being online to burn the stat loss you could keep switching out characters to get around the stat loss. By the time you got hit with stat loss on your 6 or 7th char the first would no longer be under the loss so you could keep rotating characters.

And that is why you must remain online to remove stat loss.

20 minutes? I think it's more like 10.

20 minutes is a fun killer for sure. 10 is more reasonable, although I'd even suggest 5' now that Factions is getting attention.

But the OP is crazy to be honest.. :stretcher:

having dealt with stat loss for 8 years one learns to fight in it dont tell me you all leave the battle and run to the bank ti wait out stat loss, some of thebest battle i have been in we while i and half my team and half the enemy were in stats loss.
stat loss is fine the way it is. Theres a sang "stupid should hurt" if your dunb enough to get ganked then you should be in stat loss. You know the real faction players by the way they come back into the fray duriong loss to help there team. ive got more kill point in loss then i have not in loss

This is where having all 120 skills help even in stat loss with the help of few items and jewelry I'm back to atleast gm in all my skills and still can have decent results in a battle, even able to seek revenge in stat loss.

If you choose to play a template in factions that's all based on jewelry and items without having the true skill then everytime you die your gonna be about as usefull as a new player fresh out of haven. I only use the items and jewelry after I've gone into stat loss to bring me back up. I know it doesn't leave much for those creative templates but it would suck having to sit out every 20 min of the battle because your templates so spread out.

:thumbup1:

to the OP: generating loot drops into player corpses could/would be exploited.

I was thinking they could use the same system we use to decide what loots we get from normal spawn.

If two people kill a spawn it is divided and only your loot is visible. If a faction member kills an enemy member and opens the corpse he could see a loot that is his only.

As far as exploiting you could set a boundary of where you might get this type of bonus, for example: killing TB member infront of Stronghold might yield you this type of bonus.

This could be a rare chance of finding something and could be timed to only happen once a week for the character that would have the award on him.

I think for the most part that would cover the exploitation, but you would want to make the items worth checking the corpses. This would give the old time feeling of looting a corpse of an enemy kill.

Stat loss is fine the way it is, it's the only way a small group of pvpers can take out a zerg group. Just have to grind it out one kill at a time.

Honestly with how popular scripting skills is now, I'd say make the loss permanent...and they have to rebuild the skills.

make it 30, but let the timer run even when offline
