I would participate if they did it well, to do with lore and the game world instead of items and rewards, and gave us an organizational structure that worked.

Yeah, Trebr. I was mostly trying to find out just how many people are so crazy-addicted to factions they're in it on multiple shards. Nothing wrong with just being in it on one shard, but it sometimes seems like you run into the same people in factions over and over again no matter where you go.

I really don't know anyone addicted to it, more they are addicted to the items you can get.

I also am not in factions. For a while, my thief was in TB on Chessy, but for the 5 months I was on, I only ever saw 1 other person in factions on when I was sneaking around. It seemed rather pointless to me. I would go and steal a couple of the sigils when I could, and take them back to Brit. Then sit around for a while and when noone else ever showed up, I would play another char somewhere else.
Chessy is my home shard and do not have much desire to go to any other shards. So, my thief left factions. I never bought or used any faction items, and only have a bout 15K of silver left over.

My one is just for events.
They ruined factions by have 4 groups.
Should have just 2 sides. Good and Evil. OR similiar.
Everything works the same but with 2 sides.
Lot easy to keep towns that way.

This sigil thing never turned me on. It's too simple as a capture the flag type thing for a war.
I wish they could change it to capturing buildings in cities in zones, each zone in layers and you have to capture the first layer to proceed to the next, eventually capturing the headquarters to take control away from the current owner of the city.
I haven't really put a lot of thought into it, so I don't have a fleshed out suggestion. I just wish it felt more like a war and territorial control (and asset control).

Faction items makes it possible to PvP on multiple shards without spending 5 billion gold.
I can crank out a top of the line suit with faction arties and imbued armor for 15k silver and 30 relic frags.
I play five shards. I think the arties are great, but the rank system needs attention. There needs to be something done to make base defenses fun again.

Hmm, didn't think about the fact that you couldn't see the results without voting. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that you can add a question once the poll is posted, or I'd add a "none" option.

Answer was three, however ... on Atlantic I have two "left behind" characters that I have not played in about a year and a half. On GL I have 3 serious faction characters, but I have not played them in ... maybe 6 months. On Napa I have two characters intended to be faction chars, but due to my ... distaste for how play was going, they are not in any faction and not used at all for now. Oh, and all those characters except one on GL are on one account.
100% agree with everything said. Without faction arties (and now imbuing), I wouldn't be able to play multiple shards. Also as Lynk said, rank system needs some attention as does a reason for fighting.
