I say just make faction mounts a rank 1 requirement and move on. Factions should be about PvP, not the constant upkeep of a suit or mount.

Faction mounts dont even take a high rank! Do people seriously have trouble keeping rank for their horse?

Faction mounts are also a HUGE advantage Galen. 1. More health than a normal horse 2. Instantly can be rezed by yourself with a bandie 3. NPC Vets do not make this useless, as you need to wait like 10 minutes to do that, and you cant exactly go visit a vet WHILE your fighting.

1. One bleed or poison (maybe even mortal) in effect nullifies the more health, because it can't be mounted while those effects are on. The odds of one healing keeping it alive, and keeping him- or herself alive, in time to re-mount, are rather small.

2. Which is more of an advantage, a Faction Horse or a Faction Ornament of the Magician? The latter, under current mechanics, has as its requirement Rank 1.

3. No, you cannot run to a Vet in the middle of a fight unless of course it's a long fight in a town that has a Vet. These are of course entirely unknown in Factions, I suppose. Also a few seconds of your opponent missing means that you can mount an ethy. And if you have enough time to get a Faction Horse back into mountable condition, you have time to mount an ethy. I've managed both of those a time or two.

But by all means continue to YELL, type out really kewl e-motes, or the like.

I'm sorry, but lets have stuff you have to actually EARN to use (Not like it takes much to use them). Leave faction horses alone.

I mostly agree with Galen. Except that the ability to rez your faction horse really is a big advantage. I've survived many a dismount gank over the years by rezzing my own war horse, hopping on, and getting away. An ethy mount attempt would have just been interrupted.

Now, for a troll on faction arties: Do away with them and get the parasites out of my factions.

And again, I fail to see why a Faction Horse is more-powerful than is any Faction Artifact. If one has Bushido, as most dexers have for years, one can ride a Lesser Hiryu, which in addition to having good HP also has some worthwhile attacking ability. I used to know a guy on LS who used to have a Lesser Hiryu and I used to watch him take on 10 or more people, just him and his Lesser Hiryu.

Lesser Hiryus die fast to slayers PLUS - Cant be rezed during a fight. Plus, the only worthwhile Hiryu/lesser to use in pvp is a prepatch one.

Thursday's Publish, as is well known, made Faction Artifacts wearable by any Faction Rank.

Why not do the same for Faction Mounts? They convey much less of an advantage than Faction Artifacts do, now that NPC Vets can rez pets. Non-rank restricted Faction Mounts could even be subject to restrictions (limited lifespan; perpetual need to replace or renew in some way) similar to those Faction Artifacts are now subject to.

Indeed, unlike a Faction Artifact, to replace a non-rank restricted but limited life Faction Mount you'd need your Faction to own a City or two.

I don't care if they remove the rank requirement its trivial. However putting restrictions on a faction mount is a non starter. It takes 7 days alone just to bond one and then you want continually replacing them? no thank you.

This should be fixed with all pets. Speed "glitched" ice white Cu Sidhe's or any pet in general shouldn't exist in this game.
